Contorted Course

Course for 4 contortionists and public space

In this intimate and striking fresco , four contortionists reinvent public space to take us into a deep reflection on professional success and its impacts. Between admiration and questioning, L' Art de se pliable en 4 explores invisible sacrifices, bodies shaped by work, and resilience in the face of social expectations .

Through personal testimonies embodied in striking movements, the artists question the place of their bodies in society and the pressure exerted on atypical professions. The show, deployed in the streets and public squares, mixes poignant solos and collective scenes in an urban setting, for a performance where the city becomes both decor and partner.

Wanderings, symbolic stops, and vanishing points punctuate this 45-minute work , where the audience is invited to follow, feel, and reflect on what it really means to " bend over backwards" – for oneself, for others, to succeed.

Physical, social, and emotional performance

Between prowess and vulnerability, this show questions our relationship to the body in work and in life, while highlighting the beauty and strength of those who bend but do not break.
